I read everything noted about this kettle before I purchased. There was nothing that would ever made me think I would need to be careful about WHERE on the stove I place it to heat up. I have a standard electric stove. FIRST USE I placed the kettle on (let’s be real, everyone’s favorite burner), the bottom right. By the time my water was heated, so was the handle!
